Warm hospitality

 

In the Friulian culture the fireplace (Fogolar) was the centre of family life.

 

The “Fogolar” was an always burning fire crackling in a fireplace around which people gathered to share food and daily chronicles. Old people enchanted children with fairy tales; women sat together while chatting and knitting, and men reposed and sipped a glass of wine in company. It was a place of encounter, reception and exchange of experiences and knowledge.

 

“Al Fogolar” bases its idea of hospitality on these strong values typical of the Carnic tradition and, through its plates, offers a taste of this simple and genuine world rich of history, perfumes and flavours.
